Getting a New PC

See but i wouldnt need a case hard drive if i was to build myself and also i could keep the graphics card i have for now
So would building my own be better?
 
Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2GHz
Mobo and Ram no idea but the motherboard is broke the USb ports dont work so i definatly need a new one
The graphics card is the GeForce 8500GT PCI Express.
and i have a 2 satas hard drives and a sata CD Drive so i need atleast 3 sata ports

Budget range? What kinda case?
 
oh i have a case
Its not amazing but if i could i would get a mini case which could sit on my desktop.
And erm budget would be £200-£300 now as i am selling the PS3 but looks like they have gone down in price

well it is a pretty solid setup but im not sure what the exchange rate is from euro to USD. if someone could let me know what it converts to i could pry be of more assistance.
 
I forgot to mention i dont need the Power Supply i bought a enw one about a month ago :) sorry

And wow thats an expensive CPU
and also what RAM should i get i would want inbetween 4-8GB
 
Becuase i wanted a quad core just didnt realise how much they were is £100 like the average price for a quadcore?

Well, the phenom II i linked you to earlier was actually a tricore, but it outperforms the older phenom I quad core. Phenom II quadcores are around £140 starting.

Honestly i would recommend not getting one of those mini cases, as you would need small form factor gpu's, motherboards, and the airflow in them sucks... Something like an antec three hundred isnt too large, but plenty of size for modern components.

If i chose a normal size case then how can i make it cooler but also quite.
i saw somebody had some foam on their which made it quiter where can i get that from

For starters, you would go with some low noise 120mm fans. Then, you would line the side panel, bottom, top, and rear of case with sound absorbing foam(of course, cutting out holes for fans and etc). Such as:

In all honesty though, i would go for the low noise fans first, an aftermarket heatsink with a 120mm fan, and then decide whether or not you need sound deadening foam.
