Bought brand new at BB used the cd once to install but no longer playt the game after reformatting the computer. There for i no longer want the game as i have played it to death and selling it. Not one scratch on the Cd from what my eyes can see.

$20 plus shipping. Which im believe is 4.95 priority mail or 3 something snail mail.

Doesnt that mean the code is linked to your steam account? Therefor cant be sold?

I just confirmed this on another computer. If you install the game with my registered account you can play the game.

I didnt try register new account but you can always try that as well if not youll have to use my registered account.

Steam games are linked to your Steam account and won't play without it. Further more I belive it's against VALVe's EULA to sell a steam game/account on.

theres nothing that says i cant sell the game and just give the person my user name and password. so they can login during installation. SIMPLE

it's not that simple. You would have to give up your whole steam account to the buyer. Plus it's illegal.

Are you guys missing the picture. i do not use any other steam games which is why im giving this game away with my account. SIMPLE AS THAT. I only play MLB and COD5 nothing else anymore. therefore its simple.

If you read the TOS is states that steam accounts cant be sold. That site is operating outside of the steam terms of service, And I wouldnt be surprised if this thread got closed.

Guys, he is talking about selling the L4D DVD, not his steam account. He would be GIVING you his steam account with the purchase of the L4D DVD. It's not that hard to understand...

Its right in the first paragraph of the TOS:
You may not reveal, share or otherwise allow others to use your password or Account. You agree that you are personally responsible for the use of your password and Account and for all of the communication and activity on Steam that results from use of your login name and password. You may not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account.
You cannot "give" or "share" or "sell" an account.

Hell, how would they know that it isn't him logging in? Pssh as Geoff said, it's as simple as selling him the media and just PM him the account info...

Finally 2 people get what im talking bout. Steam would never know as their paying for the disc and case. And once payment is received i will pm or email the user name and password. Simple as that. I dont care about TOS as if it was soo bad they would be targeting TOS violators of hacked games.

I agree that its wrong for Steam to put restrictions on what you do with your legally owned games,Imo when you purchased a game (especially if its on disk too) then its yours to do what you like with it....but thats their TOS and is what you agree too when you purchase the game from them.....selling it on would break this TOS.

Yes, it would break but only "ethically" there's absolutely nothing wrong "legally" in selling a legit disc and "GIVING AWAY" an account. How on earth would Steam know that you gave away an account to someone?

btw, not bashing at you Shane, hehe just responding to the topic at hand

I read the TOS on the site and it does not state that you can NOT sale the physical dvd. Only states you can not sell ur account which im not selling as im giving. There for its not in violation of the TOS to only charge for the DVD.
