Far Cry 2 screenshots

I like it so far, there are some pretty cool little things you can do like setting grass on fire and the wind will carry the fire to any enemy base (if the wind is blowing in that direction that is). There is a working night and day system similar to Oblivion, if you want to be sneaky you can nap until nighttime and go around like that or you can wake up in the middle of the day where you can see the terrain better.
 
Medium maybe... I've heard it runs pretty well. Well, people with an 8800GT can play it on Ultra High, so I think you should be pretty decent.

This game was clearly made in 1804. Just look at the stunning visuals... It looks about as good as Jocelyn Wildenstein after a few drinks!

I'm really hoping it looks better when you're actually playing it.

maybe thats just minimum setting but still...ouch the original farcry looked better then that
 
Playing very high @ 1920x1200 with 2x AA on my laptop I probably get about 15 FPS w/ numerous lag spikes. I have to tune the settings for a while to get it just right. But to me, the performance isn't really much better than Crysis was.

EDIT- Changed from DirectX10 to DX9 and the FPS went up by like 40! I'm definitely going with DX9.

how do you change between DX10 and DX9 :(
 
It's on the left side in the display menu, underneath the AA settings. Seriously though, I'll take the 40 FPS performance boost over the fancy lighting any day.
