EVGA Loaner Program

Ah I figured they would charge you full price then refund if you return it.

Thanks for clearing it up. I still wouldn't touch it....my luck would be it would fry the second it hit my door ^-^

anyone know how much the shipping is? i would sign up, but i wouldn't want to pay more than ~$20.

You pay shipping to the next user. For that package, which will likely be greater than 5 lbs., I'm guessing around 15 dollars if you use UPS Ground. Could be more though. You have to use UPS.

Will do, although there is no guarantee I'll get one. Users in each region are randomly selected. My user ID# is 883 and I signed up two days ago. That kinda gives you an idea of how many people are signing up for this program

Thanks Mep. I have been eyeing this up and unless they release the 4890x2 I will probably do some kind of Sli setup. Good Luck on getting one. I am not even bothering because I have terrible luck with these kinds of things. How did you first hear about it?

well that sucks

tbh,i wouldnt participate in those type of things anyway, yeah i suppose its fun testing out all that new hardware but for 2 weeks?

I wouldnt want to give them back lol.

What happens if for some odd reason it arives dead? do you end up paying for it?

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to reapply. Pies told me I could borrow his classified board anyway. :P

If I received a DOA board, I'd immediately call EVGA and let them know. It'll be interesting to see if they have a lot of board failure reports and losses with this program. There's probably some info at the EVGA forums.
