email from Chieftec concerning PSU

Ever since I bought my new Chieftec PSU whenever I shut down my PC it immediately turns back on (restarts), I sent an email to Chieftec and this is what they replied:

Dear ***********

Thank you for the mail.

Actually, we don’t understand your software setting, so if you don’t mind please ask to the shop where you bought the PSU. That will be a shortcut to solve your problem. Chieftec looking for your kind reply and with many thanks.

Any clues to solve the problem?

Perhaps the power button is stuck?

Check your bios on start up. Should have power switch choices. Also are you holding the button down a few seconds or just giving it one poke when it restarts?

if I shit down from "start" > "shut down" it turns back on, if I hold the power button in for a few seconds it closes completely

lol, I just noticed I wrote that, sorry, I meant 'shut down' the 'i' is next to the 'u' and confused me...

Check your jumper connections, I had this problem as well with a few PC's I built. Sometimes it was jumper settings, other times it was a BIOS option that needed to be disabled/enabled.

OK got it, I installed the latest Bios which fixed the problem
