DVI-D single link Cable DVI-D Dual port

Hi, I've recently bought my computer and monitor and I've come across a problem. My monitor came with a DVI-single cable, but the port on the monitor is dual link and the port on my computer is also dual link. My cable has that gap in the middle while the ports are full of holes. Will it still work?

Monitor: AOC 24" LED e2460Sd
Graphic Card: Zotac GTX 970
CPU: I5 4460

Single Link: 1920 × 1200 (WUXGA) @ 60 Hz

Instead of:
Dual Link: 2560 × 1600 (WQXGA) @ 60 Hz

But that doesn't matter to me right? Cuz my monitor is 1920 x 1080.

Correct. You would only need to use the dual link cable with display resolutions over wuxga.
