Hey Everyone,
I am considering the use of "Drive Scrubber" by IOLO , has anyone used this or would care to recommend their preference of this type of software?
I am looking to get the drive back to its original level of performance after years of photo tweaking.
Thanks.
John

John, personally i would recommend CCleaner. It's a free program that cleans your hard drive of any unnecessary files example : temp files, files in the trash can, internet cookies and more.

Heres a link to the newest version : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Sorry buy i myself have never used drive scrubber, try out CCleaner it works great for me . :)

Respital is right.... Get Ccleaner. i have been using this for long 6 years..still my pc running smoothly..

i have tried Drive Scrubber by IOLO ....my experience with this was horrible..after using 3 days..whenever i run this....it hangs my pc..

I agree, CCLeaner seems to be the best program for that purpose, I use it myself.

Thank You!

A big Thank You to all for your input!
I just ran the CCleaner and there is a big improvement in performance!
John :D

CCleaner is great. You can also use its registry cleaner, might help further.

Don't forget about basics though, defrag!

Thanks, yes i did find it's registry cleaner, explored the CCleaners features and may have used it up. ;)
No sense holding back a good thing! :)
Had been doing defrags weekly but began feeling like it was defraging garbage...lol.
Thanks again!
John
