Do you REALLY appreciate your computer?

I've built several rigs before, some that I don't even remember anymore. The one that I currently have is probably the most work I've put into a build so far. I originally wanted an AMD setup but ran into major setbacks with Asus, and so I ended back with intel. I think it took about a month's planning, modifying, and finishing my current build.

For those who have seen it in the "post your pc thread" (HERE)will see that I put a great amount of work to make sure that everything is exactly the way I wanted it to be and in the end it came out pretty sweet, probably the best build I've done. I don't think there's a single mistake or something different that I would have done. Maybe add another gpu for SLI and some white LED's to brighten it up.

But that's all it'll ever be is just a computer.

Well I do like my PC.It is 15 years old,small and weak,but I always manage to find a way to do anything on it.I like it simply because I can do whatever I want and then earn money on it.Oh and I owe HIM and he does not owe ME

But there is one thing which is a LOT more important to me than ALL the things and ALL the money I have...it's called Elida.

As a way of saying hello (my first post) I do appreciate my computer but the affection is not reciprocated in fact at times I think it positively hates me.

Yeah I appreciate my PC. You look after it, and it will look after you. Like a car, etc. you keep it maintained and you won't get as many problems.

I hate my pc at the moment, it performs perfectly until i try to game then it goes B**** mode on me, maybe it doesn't like it's os or maybe it has gpu cancer or something, but still baffles me how it likes like 2 games and plas 'em fine, maybe the final win8 beta will show it was the os and solve it.

BTW, still think Strangle's was the best post so far.

I have my Sony Vaio which was running Windows 7 then my key board and mouse pad stopped working. I re-installed my drivers, did a fresh install of Windows 7 with drivers and still not working. I went some time without a computer till one day I was reading about the next Ubuntu release on my wife's Vaio so I downloaded a copy and try to give it a chance on my laptop. My Vaio is back in good working condition thanks to Ubuntu.

Currently it's annoying me with this little check fan beep every so often in the bios. I'll fix it and I guess it'll unfix itself later. I have a backup fan if it comes to that but i'd rather go for a simpler fix if possible before taking it apart. Hasn't frustrated me too much yet though, fortunately.
