Custom made side case fan

I just bought a case but it doesn't have a side window or a side fan so what I'm thinking is with my dremel cut a 120mm by 120mm square in the side and put a LED fan in it. Then, so no fingers get chopped, I'll put some screen door mesh over it. Will it work? I think it will.

People usually just cut a proper size hole, then file the edges a bit and cut up some electrical cable tubing and put that on the edges. Templates

my suggestion, drill a hole to fit the 120mm fan then drill 4 screw holes, or else its not going to hold, itll just....fall thru

and yea, be mad careful, try cutting the hole a dash smaller than the fan diameter and put a grill on it, that way noone gets cut on the metal

i always get hurt putting pc's together...

Like the others say, make a hole, not a square. If you make a square you'll have nowhere to put the mounting screws!
