cpu performance and its temperature

how much does having low temperature cpu improve its performance?
My cpu temp is around 36-38 @ idle and goes up to 50 at full load..(playing game.. messengers on, itune playing.. )..

btw, I dont OC my cpu..

Having low temps on a cpu increases system stability which then would see any performance gains to be had. It also can effectively increase the life span of your hardware when temps are kept low. One thing serious gamers look at often enough is methods of adding extra cooling to their systems to get the lower temps they are after over what you would see with the stock heat sink and fan combination. OCing however does stress hardwares.

if you dont overclock it then a cool temperature won't effect anything.
as long as its below like 70C it shouldn't slow itself down at all...

as long as your system never shuts off or freezes then its stable...

ya at that temp (which is pretty average) ur not gonna run into any problems:D

Ive seen processors cook at those temps. The new max on the AMD64 line is at 70C. The optimal operating temps are around 42-46C with stock. On the dual core models that drops a little more to 49-70max acoording to AMD docs. The older Atholons had more tolerance in that regard with 85-90C seen as the max with the cpu fully loaded for brief periods only.

70C would be the limit...
optimal wouldn't be 42-46. optimal would be more like 20C lol
of course with stock theres about a 5% chance you'll get such a good temp unless ambient temps are like 15C
