Computer really slow

although i dont know how to filter the logs, i'd sugest that you post a hi jack this log and see if you can get someone to look through it
 
2 problems:

I cant disable C:/WINDOWS/INF/MSI, it keeps being on after i diable it and restart the computer, and

I can't find the C:/WINDOWS/INF/MSI file. Any directions?
 
You just said you can't disable it, means you can find it? Sorry I don't think I got it right...
Anyway this is not relevant now.
Reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
  • If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  • Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  • Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  • Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  • Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
  • Login on your usual account.

To enable the viewing of Hidden files follow these steps:

  • Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
  • Double-click on the My Computer icon.
  • Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
  • After the new window appears select the View tab.
  • Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.
  • Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
  • Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.
  • Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
  • Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.
  • Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.

Navigate to C:/WINDOWS using Windows Explorer or manually going to MyComputer, C:/ and WINDOWS. Find INF folder and find msi file. That file you have to delete. It can be whether msi or MSI, but it has to be there. Delete it. It will be allowed.
You can do it in normal mode too, but it's less safe. That's why this is called Safe Mode.
There is nice little program called Unlocker...just in case you are interested.
Anyway, your task is to delete the remain file and post fresh HijackThis log.

OKay is i deleted c:/windows/inf/msi and disabled it from start up, but it it still that in start up, just not checked.
The good news is my computer is much faster now, but there is a lot of 'lagg' still when i scroll the page (screeen drags along jumoing from section to section)

At this point you will probably need to reinstall your video driver.

Still infections showing, however.

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure Run fixit is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Please post the text that will open (report.txt) in your next reply.

Please run HijackThis and choose Do a system scan only.

Place a check next to the following entries:
  • O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
