Computer cleaning

Hi,

I was wondering if I could clean my computer components with Loctite 25791 (Loctite for electronic parts) without any risks.

Some guy told me that I normally shouldn't use chemicals, but to be honest I already cleaned my graphic card twice with Loctite. I had no trouble, it completely removed all the dusts, it did a better job than compressed air and I got my temperatures back.

I need some opinions.

Thanks for all.

I really wouldn't go with anything chemical, its not worth the risk of the part being completely ruined. Also, you may not see the damage now, but it could present itself in the future, so overall, bad idea.

Some may already know the way I clean my components (lol :D),but I am gonna say it again in one word:

DISHWASHER!

Many people will tell you that's a bad idea, but it's not AS LONG AS you put the correct temperature in the washing process and after it's done dry all the components in a hot room for 5 days at least. Also be sure while putting components in the dishwasher, that you put them in the right positions since water pressure can destroy them if they are in a bad/wrong positions.

As for wires,be sure to wrap them tight around those sticks so that they don't fall out and prevent the propeller to spin properly.

People call me crazy, but this is how I do it lol.Hey that is why we made those machines after all lol.So that they do the job FOR US!:D
Why should I swallow all that dust and dirt while cleaning it MANUALLY which by the way takes a lot more time, nerves and headaches!:D

Oh no, not again....

I highly advise not to do this... That is a good way to ruin any electrical component. No wonder you have problems with hard drives, you throw them in the dishwasher.

lol

LOOOL........I can't stop laughing at this......it's just sooo crazy and funny to see that someone would dishwash their computer parts like that.

+1 for Dishwasher, but the bits don't half make a noise in the tumble dryer, then I finish them off by pegging out on the line.:good:

you people are just mad, really, *really* - putting computer components in the DISHWASHER???

As for the OP, yes buy a can of compressed air and then spray the components with it. Before you spray though, make sure the air hasn't become moisturised because that's bad. When you spray, you don't want to see anything come out of the can, if you see moisture, then leave the can to still. If you don't see anything coming out of the can but feel the air, that's good, that's what you want.

LoL johnb35 I never EVER wash the hard disk drives hahaha.I am not THAT crazy lmao =D
I do wash things like computer cases, motherboards, graphic cards,RAM chips and so on...,but NOT things like hard disk drives,CD/DVD-ROM disk drives and so on lol...
Besides not a single HDD ever died on me except WD.And it didn't die because I wash them lmao.Simply because WD here where I live are for some reason bad made.God knows why ;)

Cheers mate!

I take my hard drives and other more sensitive components to the dry cleaners, much safer. Totally worth the extra cost.

My new motherboard, CPU, graphics card and RAM are staying right away from you and your dishwasher when I get them! :D lol Ok I'll believe you and if the dishwasher works for you then the dishwasher works for you. One day I will have to try it! :D but on something old.
