Cheap computer

Lookin' for a new PC, and I only have around $600. I know I can get one from Dell that's nice, I also know, Dell = cheap parts = fail. That's why I come here to see if anyone knows of a place where I can get a decent PC for under $600.

Only three main requirements:

AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core 4200+
250+ GB HD
1 GB RAM

I haven't been able to find any place other than Dell. Any help?

if you have any experience you could build your own with better parts for cheaper. Check out newegg.com they have good prices.

i personly dont like the Caviar HDs sometimes there good and sometimes there bad... i would look into a barracuda....but im some what new at this and thats just my opion

I agree, you could get a better motherboard for the same price. I'd get one with a PCIe x 16 slot (and without onboard video), and change your video card accordingly. Also, the hard drive you picked is 3.0 GB/s SATA but your mobo only supports up to 1.5 GB/s. Also, I would go with this power supply. It's more powerful and quite a bit cheaper, and I can vouch for it's reliability.
