cant find a mini atx motherboard for my friends pc case he bought

Hi everyone as i put in the heading I'm looking for a mini atx to put in a friends case he bought (seems he has made a mistake) as there are lots of options for other form factors and and what you try google it brings results for everything else any help would be greatly appreciated i need one that would take a cpu that would be capable of playing fortnite for his son to play he already bought a gpu than you in anticipation
 
2 questions...

1. Is it a mini itx case or a micro atx case? There is a difference.

2. Will the Gpu he bought fit the case?

We need to know exact case before we can even recommend anything.

If its a mini itx case then there aren't many available and they will be more expensive than a micro atx motherboard.
 
thank you all for your help, it was very useful and informative, in the end i bought a msi b365m pro-vdh with 16gb of ram and a processor i3 which can play fortnite, but ive come across another problem, the usb 3 on the front plugs into motherboard says note that the power ground pins must be connected correctly to avoid possible damage, i thought the cabel could just be bought but the ground has to be on pins 4 7 13 16 could someone point me in the right direction where to get one from cheers
 
USB pins on the motherboard are standard unless you are using an OEM motherboard which you aren't. So the cable from the case will work. Just remember that it can only go on one way.
