I can only find 2400 in the crucial ballistix sport 8gb as well. So its that or the 1600
Actually, I'm not sure if the 2400 RAM is compatible with your board because it's not on the RAM list for your motherboard. So try either 1866, or 2133 because those are the only faster RAM speeds that I'm seeing in your RAM list for your motherboard.
 
In all honesty the iGPU on the APU is faster than some of the suggestions like 9800GT.

A lot of Kaveri systems don't have issues utilizing 2400 RAM, and you get a performance benefit on the iGPU the faster the memory is.

I'd see how the integrated graphics played out before spending more on a dedicated card automatically.

Also, definitely get 2 sticks of RAM at least in order to use dual channel, otherwise it will cripple the performance of the platform.
