Build or Buy Gaming PC?

Quick question.

Do you think with those two new things and what I currently have, that I would be able to play Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 flawlessly on high? No specs have been given yet, however, for these games.

from what i just looked up, diablo 3 recomends an athlon 64 x2 5600+ 2.8ghz, which the 945 beats, and a gtx 260 or hd 4870, which i think the 550ti will equal or beat the 4870, idk bout the 260, so with those you should be fine to get high or better at 1080p (1920x1080)

The card in your computer right now? It's basically onboard video, which is suited for HD movies more than anything else.

Looking at these two..I see virtually no difference besides..

- brand
- Gig is GDDR5 and Galaxy is DDR5 (unsure of what those mean)
- Gig has a slightly less shader and core clock (unsure of these as well)
- Gig is cheaper

So really..would it make any difference?

he would get a gigabyte before he would get a galaxy, means gigabyte is better, they are a better brand so better quality and warranties and all.

Hmm..well I really would to know more about this for future cases.

off-topic question..where did you guys learn about all of this stuff? I am eager to learn more.

Right here. I also learned a great deal from my brother, and am currently studying to go into the IT field.

I mean, when Jonny first came here, he was wrong about everything! Now he knows his stuff pretty well. :P

Maybe I will open up my old PC and just mess around :p

Also, if I wanted to get a new computer case..I could get any case, correct? All I would need to do is transfer everything from my old one to my new one.

Your motherboard is a uATX, which means a micro ATX board. When looking at cases, just see if it supports uATX or micro ATX.

be careful when messing around, i got a new case when it was on sale and when i moved it over i was messing around and i'm not sure if it was a jumper i didn't put back or what, but no more audio for it :( and yeah, i just hung around here and now i know a lot, still not an expert and still am wrong sometimes, but i'm getting better and better.
