Battlefield Heroes

The third person shooting element takes some getting used to, in my opinion anyway. The vehicle control is a little sketchy (when flying planes at least). But all in all I'm having fun with the beta. I'm not a huge FPS connoisseur so I don't really know all the in's and out's of a good FPS. All I know is that it's FREE and that I've been looking forward to this game for a little over a year now.:D

What does FPS stand for again? :P

So they had a successful launch :( The only thing new I got to see about the game was the micro-transactions. I was not happy to see "battlefunds" and I think that approach is ridiculous.

Guys cant be bothred searching google,as theres always diffrent dates mentioned but when does Battlefield Heroes actualy get released?

I'd say look for an official release here in the late spring or summer time. I don't have a rock solid date either.

It was supposed to be the end of the month but it got pushed back. I would say very soon though, because the beta characters after the reset will now be transferable into the final game!

hows the controls? and more importantly how big are those maps?

well for me, most of the maps are too big. but i dont really like vehicle games. i think its sweet. but tbh, its kind of easy to get kills. its more about strategy then skill.

No spawn camping from what I've witnessed. Holding points and stuff is key. Working with your teammates to a degree is essential as well. Medics for instance, even though they don't do THAT much health regeneration it could be a tide turner in battle. Shooting from the third person takes a little getting used to. The maps are reasonably sized. Everything is within walking distance (if you want to, plenty of vehicles to hitch rides on).
