Aspire X-Dreamer II

OK, so the power supply isn't too great. Will it run this? (at least for a while)

Athlon 64 3500
6600GT
2 HDDs, 2 Optical drives

I will be OCing, and I want to make sure that it isn't going to blow up on me or anything.
 
Lol its sorta funny you bring up that power supply... i bought that case recently and we were installing the light in the front and well i touch the wire to the thing that turns them on just to make sure they worked... so i keep touching it cause i thought it looked cool (idk why)... but anywayz boom after the third time i touched it... there went the psu =/ owell my fault i guess..

Yep.

I am now looking at the case that pishposh recommended. I really like the looks of the Aspire, but the reviews aren't too great. I might change my mind....

A month is really all I want out of it, because I am buying this computer in parts as I get the money. I will just keep it around as a spare and buy a new one.
 
not really true. the same psu that came with the aspire xdreamer ii i used it on another computer and has been running for more than 2 years and is still working. not a good psu but it works for a low profile pc.
 
So do you guys think that I should go with the aspire xdreamer II? Or the other one that pishposh posted?
 
Honestly, really think about what you like in cases.

Most peoples perception change quickly on looks. One day you might like all the flashly lights, neons and bezels. And then in a couple months you'll hate them.

I know when I first built my comp I liked most of that, but a few months down the road I hated the way my case looked. Now I have a tsunami and like it quite alot. It's not very flashly, but has a very sleek look to it.

All I'm saying is don't go over board. Get a case you like now, however just think a little bit into the furture while buying.

Yeah...I know what you are saying. I have wanted to buy a new case for about a year and a half (ever since I got this computer) and am still looking at the same things.

I replaced the power supply that came with the case. I have been very happy with the case itself. Hope this heps you out man.

Advice from someone who actually owns one, cool. :)

I looked at every ATX case on Newegg, and I came down to the following:

Aspire X DreamerII in Green, Blue, or Black
XION XON II (the one that pishposh recommended)
XION Solaris in Silver or Blue

I am pretty much torn up between the XDreamer in blue or green and the first XION. I like the door over the drives that the XION has, but the green XDreamer is just plain weird (in a cool way)

When I actually get around to buying whichever one I choose, I will tell you guys

*edit* I just noticed that the XION's door opens the wrong way for my desk. So scratch that one. Now I just have to decide whether to get the Aspire in blue, green, black, silver, or yellow
