Anybody Still Use Windows 2000

I love windows 2000 all the newer versions of windows to me suck I plant to get a new computer in the near future I am will be running windows 2000 plz do not try to get me to swtich. I am just wonder how many people still run windows 2000 here???
 
Not me.......on the lighter side i know people like you. Its old school or what ever. Still running 98 2nd edition and a couple that still swear by 95 OSR2.
Oh well.

I can't see anyone would like that OS? It was even slower and less compatible than Windows 95, 98 & XP :o
 
You have to set up all drivers. all the time.
Some people are just old school.
Ya ain't going to change m.

at least they stepped up from windows 3.1

I remember it as the best O/S. Never really got going before XP showed up though. It was just NT with some added compatibility with the wider world.
 
It (was) the best OS. After XP was released microsoft killed it quick because people didnt want to give it up. XP was a few things added and with kindergarden colors. It came out the same time ME did, which sucked for various reasons. People would buy it just to get ME off there systems or went back to 98SE. In a weird sotra way XP/Vista and 7 are all based off it.

Don't be a clinger, dude. The only way to get ahead is to ride the Windows 7 train and you won't regret it. Hell, you can use the XP sim if you want a touch of old for ya.

Ya, its been in my sig for about a month or so now, made me laugh when I saw it :D


I only agree with old OS on PCs too slow to run modern systems. I don't see any benefit even running Windows XP on a modern system.

The XP sim with Windows 7 is what I'm talking about. Although, I don't know how to use it myself.
 
What is the fastest computer that will run windows 2000 I am planing to get a used 2.8ghz to 3.2ghz with 1gb ram
 
Windows 2000 is wicked....It was very very reliable,More than Xp imo,Never let me down once unlike some other os i remember called Vista.:P

But dude,If you plan to get a new Pc,Get windows 7.
 
Like Nevakonaza said, 2000 was a good OS but at this point just put 7 on it. 2000 drivers are getting hard to find depending on how old your hardware is. Most XP drivers will work with it but its a crap shoot.
 
I thought I was clingy, still running XP on most of my machines. I really do need to upgrade to 7, though, I've just been putting it off because it means that I'll need to relocate about 750GB of data off of my boot drive.
