and every1 of those sites says that the X2 is better than the Intel's dual core, as you can see by the many banchmarks

Yes but that makes sense . The Athlon64 cores are said to be better than the Prescott core (which they are in most cases) putting 2 together doesn't change that. Also the Hypertransport system is more supportive of dual/multi cores than Intels bus system.

I have had a look at these reviews yesterday. I am a fan of AMD and therefore I am happy they are putting up tough competition for Intel. I love the fact that you can use dual cores in normal S939 only after a bios upgrade.

Actually the Intel Extreme dual cores at 3Ghz-3.4Ghz were better than any amd they tested except for the FX-55. They did better in 3Dmark, SYSmark, ans most of them did better in FPS in halo and doom3.

I have a seperate computer for 3DSMAX (P4 3.6Ghz 1GBram), I am now going to replace that sucker with a AMD.

No sense in bashing people for what they purchased. At some point or another everyone's rig fits there own individual qualifications, and that's all that matters.

Yes, but you can also see those are preconstructed systems, not one that was built by hand for a control test against the 2. So essentialy all that did was tell me not to buy a Vaio.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if those were the dual cores or not, I just assumed they were.

the dual core 64's will usually have "X2" somewhere in the name and they are 4200,4400,4600, and 4800

i realized that this was about the X2 after i posted my first few threads, i was thinking that it was pretty much the same thing as the intel 64 vs. amd 64 lol. Both great companies great at different things.
