Advice appreciated

Ok, just setting up my computer, put Windows disk in, clicked new installation of Windows, then a message came up with ''some files are missing'' restart to retry installation. Anyhow now I restart and a bootmsgr is missing message keeps coming up. I've looked trouble shooting and that tells me to change bios etc, push this key or that key, however as Windows isn't installed at all when I click these keys it just comes up with a blank screen. Any ideas how I.can fix this? I know it's Christmas day and this is the last thing you guys want to be doing. Merry Xmas everyone

Can you give us the exact error message given? Most generally when files are missing its because you have a memory problem, could also be cd may be scratched or something. Do you have more then 1 stick of memory? If so, try removing 1 and try installing again.

Bootmgr is missing
Press ctrl alt del to restart.

When pressed it just goes back to this message after going through the start-up.

This is without any disk in, I've tried disk in and disk out.

You could have more than likely fixed the bootmgr issue without a destructive install. But now that you gone ahead and tried to install Windows you can't really go back.

Try this once. Grab Rufus and copy the Win 7 disk to a USB stick. Keep in mind you can't have any files on the USB stick. In fact all files will be wiped. Now go into BIOS and chose to boot from USB. See if you can install Windows that way. If it still gives an issue you either have a bad disk as mentioned or bad RAM. To test your RAM burn Memtest 86+ to CD and boot that and run for a few hours.
