I chose CoD4 because I've played that one the most, but the realism is great. They did a very nice job on all aspects of the game, including the campaign. However, I do think Maximum PC had a legit contender in their choice.

The orange box IS sweet but I think TF2 isnt worth the disc its printed on. Theres no strategy to it, its like a giant cluster fu#$.

However, Portal was the highlight of the orange box for me
 
Has any of you actually played Crysis? I'm not seeing many votes... There must be something wrong with your monitors. It's the one under Call of Duty 4, and above Supreme Commander.
 
I really liked Bioshock. As for COD4, it seems to me its a lot like BF2, but with more firefights, no vehicles, and less random glitches and crashes. Either way, I voted for Bioshock.
 
The best thing I played last year was Mafia, again. I know it's obviously not new, but it's so much better than so many new games, including everything I've played up there ^^.

If I had to play be the rules, Episode 2. The only games I get excited about these days are the HL ones, even if they are too short!
 
TF2.

Didn't like Portal. Bioshock was alright, I didn't even finish it though. Sure It was atmospheric, gripping, beautiful.. Something must have been missing though, cause I couldn't stay interested.

Maby because you are terrible at it? All game critics say its very strategic. It's not like cod4 and whoever shoots first wins. YOu have medics, Random Crits, Ubercharges, Sentry guns. Eg, You send ubercharges out first to knock down the sentrys then send in the rest of the team. Spys sneak behind any me lines to take out snipers or whoever. Demo take out SG with ease. The Maps are VERY GOOD! require skills!!! So if you dont like it i say this to you.

crysis is great but the developers should've taken some more time to consider the average computer. i mean, pushing the envelope is one thing (like F.E.A.R. did back in the day) but theres no reason why they should make a game that nobody with an actual budget can play...

i voted for call of duty 4, its an amazing game even on the lowest settings, but when my 8800GT gets here we will see how amazing it can really be.

And I NO HOW GAY WAS BIOSHOCK! It Doesnt feel like a FPS. The gun is gay. Never enough ammo. And the mood is creepy. WHo like to get scared. IT a sick R rated movie. I hate it so much :P. It gives me nightmares. lol
 
well i liked the scary aspect, but the combat system felt really clunky to me, it was terrible and bored me out of my mind
 
yer its like funny aim and weapons dont look nice. And why did a plane crash and he wanders into a building and goes into a underwater society and everyone a a mutent with the same catch phrase?
 
I'm still deciding between COD4 and TF2. I know there is an other option but portal should be there!!That game just blew me away. The concept of it is great and the humour is the best I've seen in a long time. I would vote other but I don't like voting for something that isn't that specific....
 
i voted for bioshock since it's the only game in the choices that i've played and finished. (yes it ran on my comp smoothly on low/med settings)i like the creepy atmosphere and concept of the game. just wished there were more enemies at a given time, like an ambush of some sort.

I vote Bioshock to be honest. the whole idea of the game, and the sci-fi 50's looks etc are just amazing :)

Played it for about two hours today. I'm really impressed. The graphics and storyline are awesome. Very unique, like you said.

Orange Box is not a game - it's a "pack" of games. Perhaps I should have included it as one title, but, it didn't seem fair.

i enjoy TF2 more than COD4, although they are both great. my friend watched me play TF2 once and said i have to be gay to play that. i think he just thought it looked cheesy, which it does, but it's supposed to. i don't really get it. he refuses to play because it looks terrible to him. missing out...

portal was great. too bad it's not multiplayer (although i don't know what you would do?). it was very interesting and unique.
