TBH I prefer playing games at lower resolutions. I can barely tell the difference between 1280x1024 and 1920x1080 when gaming,
lower res = much higher quality settings and framerates, woo

lower res means exactly that, lower quality. Higher framerates yes, but after say 30 / 40 FPS, you cannot tell anyway.

You deffinately can, obviously you are limited by the refresh rate of your monitor, but 60 FPS looks a hell of a lot smoother than 30/40 does, the difference is very clear

Well I scored an LG E2240V Monitor for $120 posted on another forum.

I guess I'll order a 1TB Samsung F3 and call it done
