hey guys,

well ive been meaning to do some cable management to my system for some time now and thought i would do it this morning.

i removed the back case cover to see if theres any room i could hide cable but there was none at all,the side panel of the case just about clears the motherboards back plate so i couldnt put any there:mad:

sooo.....i was left with no choice but to just cable tie everything up.and hide my IDE cable a little more.

Do you think it looks better? i know its still a mess but it wasnt as bad as it was.

i just cant get it to look like you guys have yours ( .....Kornowski  )

Theres just cables everywhere and i cant realy re-route them because theyre too short :D

Cut your IDE cable like this, then cable tie it up, it'll look a LOT better! ;)

When I had a case like yours, here's what I did... See if you can took them behind the HDD bays?

I suggest flipping your HDD round, i did it with an old case once, i also suggest sleeving all of the cables if you want it to look cleaner (no point if you dont have a window tho)

Try to put stuff behind the 5" bays like i have done and danny

hmm could do,i dont have a window no but i wanted to tidy it up in there because i thought all those cables was restricting airflow but my temps have not changed at all

Hmm should of bought SATA DVD drives :). Anyways, if you want the cables to look neat, try running them in right angles and on a plane.

These guys know what they're talking about...they gave me good advice on my recent cable management issue.

I routed my HDD and cathode power cables through the front of my case which made a big difference. Since the above photos, I've also sleeved my exposed cables with black braid which also helped. Good luck to you!

This is my recent one:

Except I bought a round IDE cable and since it glows under UV light I let it roaming free in the case :D

Try to run all the power cables through the middle of the case between the mobo and the drives only separating the actual power connectors to be connected on their designated devies as shown below. Also I would move my HDD upwards to let air flow a bit better on the intake and also so that you don't have to run a power cable for the HDD all the way on the bottom of the case. Also your SATA cable is long so you can run that and cable tie it along with the power cables in middle.

Kinda like this:

u guys like my piece of art? :D :D

that looks rather sexy well done!
the problem is you guys have quite alot of cable to play with where my cables just about reach where they have to go

i dont want to buy another Psu.

hahaha ramodkk love the artwork...tks :D

Is that a small mobo or really big case....LOL. Add some sleeving on those wires. It will help a bunch.

Love the artwork!

I'm going to be re-doing mine soon, so I'll get some pictures for you!
Just try and group everthing together, best you can! ;)

SIMP - tight display - very nice:)

Rounded IDE cables are wonderful, and a PSU with long wires is a a godsend (I still need a new PSU - my wires are like little stubs:()

Asisde from that, yeah, what Korn said - carefully cut up/zip tie the IDE ribbon with a razor or scalpel; group cables whenever possible. Don't be afraid to cut the 'OEM' zip ties on the PSU wires either to remove un-needed runs from the group.

Okay, I want you to be happy with your setup because I know how it feels when you're not. I like the idea of cutting all of the OEM ties and then grouping the ones you don't need apart from the ones you do. The ones you don't need, see if you can wrap them behind to the back of the mobo tray and tape them there. The ones you do need, route them as efficiently as possible. You may can tape a portion of them behind the mobo tray and only leave the necessary portion showing. Then sleeve those babies.

These are only my opinions/ideas that may help you. Good luck and please post more pics to show your progress.

SIMP, you rig looks awesome, You've done a great job! ;)

Shane, I wouldn't worry about it too much, you'll be able to pull off something good! Don't worry!

I've just re-done my case, you inspired me, I'll get the pics up in a minute...

Thanks Korn. By the way, just letting you know....I'm stealing your idea and I'm going to add a green fan in my case. I love that green and blue mix. Sweet setup!!

No problem! Haha! Cool, it does look really good when you see it in person. I actually have all Blue fans, and two 12" Green Cathodes.
