Help me. Overclock on OEM board

As you may know, I have a Foxconn 671M01-8KSH. It's Acers' version of the Foxconn 671M. The board has the same specs and features ans the retail non-OEM board, but i'm worried about flashing the BIOS with a non OEM version.

FYI: The Acer version belongs to an "AcerPower S290" in case you wanted to know.

(Ebay link, but see the specs!)

Would a viable alternative to flashing the BIOS be to replace the BIOS chip with a non OEM one?

Ok, just tried to flash with "AWDFLASH" and .BIN from Foxconn's site. the window opened and closed and i didnt get time to read anything. I caught it with alt+prt scrn ;) and it said: "awdflash no support winnt/2000/xp" I'm running vista, what does that mean?
Also, restarted and no changes were made.

Your best bet is to leave it alone. We already told you once that Oem boards doesn't support bios flashs from the original manufacturer
(foxconn) as the bios string is different. If you want overclocking ability buy a non-oem board.

+1

Screwing around with the bios like that with foreign bios is a GREAT way to brick the PC too.

Yeah, there has been some OEM board that you can flash to the retail version. But that being said the two boards have to be identical. If there is any difference at all it will make it a paper weight.
