Hello everyone, recently I have been serching high and low for good deals on powerful gaming laptops. I do understand that in order to get the absolute best results I need to spend over 2,000. However, im not looking for a desktop replacement, im looking for a good laptop that can run games really well and do other straining work.

Can anyone post links to any good laptops of about $1,000?

I have been looking at this laptop for a while.

Gateway FX P-7805u

or

MSI GT627-216US

yup i agree gateway is better, but why don't you save that extra 1k needed, i think it will better suit you in the long run. just wait a little longer

the MSI is better. Its cheaper, has a bigger screen, and is slimmer. It may have DDR2 ram and a little weaker video card but it won't make that big of a difference in a laptop

If he's using it for gaming it will make a huge difference.

Personally I would get this one

or this one if you're willing to spend a little bit more

I love Asus. They have the best laptops I have ever used. High quality parts and you can beat the crap out of them with no problems whatsoever. They also have amazing warranties and customer service. Plus they stay on top of driver updates which a lot of companies simply do not do.
