Should I choose 3xxx series or new 4xxx?

What's the best choice in terms of value/performance?

And let's not talk about the highest performance cards like 4090. Too expensive.

But for example, is it better to buy (example) 4070 or 4080? Pay more for only - I dont know - 5/8% of performance or not?

Most people start with dollars. Also 'value' is subjective, but I am also a fan of the price/performance ratio options.

You could likely save a few hundred bucks with the 7900m which competes around a 4080ish mobile level.
