WTB-lower end GPU

Looking for a lower end PCIe x16 GPU. Something that doesn't require a lot of power (no 6 pin connector) but still gives good picture quality so I'm looking for something that also atleast does DX10. This is going in my mom's HTPC for watching decent HD stuff.

Nvidia or ATI doesn't really matter. Something along these lines-

8500gt
8600gt
9400gt
9500gt

HD3470
HD3650
HD4550
HD4650

Not looking to break the bank on this one LMK what ya got with a price shipped to 17025. Thanks
 
I have an extra 8600gt 512mb in perfect condition. Asking $40 shipped, its a great card that doesnt require a lot of power.

I've got an MSI 8600GT OC 256mb. I can let it go for $30 AUD shipped. if you want express or registered (both require signature, registered requires that you go and pick it up from your post office) then you'll have to fork out a little extra.

I can also include some adapters (let me know what you want, i've got dvi>vga, component out and some other ones), and the MSI driver disc.
 
Whats $30 AUD in USD? Very interested!

How long would regular mail take? Whats the price difference in express, and whats the time difference?

I don't care about registered.

Edit- Looks like $30 AUD is about $26 USD. That sounds great I will take it....just LMK how much difference there is in express I might do that.

Why don't you just take it off ebay? Less fees, you'll only get charged for listing fees then.

How much extra for express? Would you do it for $30 usd? I don't know how much more it is just guessing.

Ouch! I have a 3850 as my main card and you call that 'low end'. I'm hurt! :(

3850 and 3870 can still max out all games, except for the ones that go for graphics over gameplay or your DX11 games, so even if it is now low end compared to your bigger, better cards, it is still fine for playing any game at all :P

? No way man. The 3870 I just sold, which was the good GDDR4 BTW, would run COD WAW at 1920x1080 with about 70-90 FPS. However, you add ANY AA or AF it falls on it's face quick. Just 4x/4x, and it's running 45-60 FPS, 8x/8x it runs like 30-45 FPS, and 16x/16x wasn't even playable.

A 3850 would BARELY play COD WAW at 1920x1080 with NO AA or AF.
 
LOL, sorry but it's the truth. What resolution does your monitor have? At lower resolution, it may be OK. But then again, lower resolution puts more stress on the CPU, so that will be your next bottleneck. If you play at 1280x1024 or something like that, you may be OK...probably like 40-50 FPS with no AA or AF.
