WTB: Core2Duo 45nm - Any Clock

i'm interested in buying a Core2Duo 45nm processor, Dual or Quad core, any Mhz. preferably with the stock HS but we can discuss that if it's an issue. please no crazy overclockers, just be honest with me... if you've done a little overclocking that's fine, but i don't want something that's been pushed it's entire life.

i'm looking to do a minor upgrade to my current rig, before i buy my new i7 rig in a couple months. so that means i'm not looking to spend a ton of money, since i could just buy a new one for $150-$200.

thanks for your time! :)

I’ll have an E8500, Revision E0, bought 12/08, for sale soon. It’s been overclocked up to 4.4 for brief periods only to run benchmarks and never exceeded 65C. Often run at 3.8 at 1.26V for gaming. Will sell for $100 + shipping and without heatsink/fan.

Well for 150-200 bucks you can buy a BRAND new one. Either a E7400 Wolfdale 2.8GHz 3MB L2 Cache for $120 and its warranty and not overclocked comes with stock cooler.

Personally id suffer untill you get the I7....the money saved you can upgrade to a better GPU or more Ram etc.

I have an i7, but I also have extra RAM, PSU, mobo, video cards, etc... laying around. I just have no good LGA775 CPU anymore to use, that is until I get my newly purchased E8500. IMO 100 is a pretty nice price, especially considering the potential of this chip.
