WRT54G encryption

Hi I have a Linksys WRT54G router and I love it. It is an amazing router and I would recomend it to anyone who needs a basic router.

My only quesiton is when I go to the router properties...192.168... I have an option about encryption and right now it is on 64bits 10 hex digits. But it can go to 128bits 26 hex digits. Does this have to do with my passowrd? If it doesn't please tell me what is has to do with. If it does have to do with my password is it really easy for someone to find out my password if I leave it on 64bits 10 hex digits? And also what are the advantages and disadvanges of the 64 and 128bits?

And one more thing. If I change it to 128, would it do anything to the computers it is set up to and would it do anything to my speed?

Thanks

Your password is how you access the diagnostic panel of the router by punching in 192.168.0.1. The encryption allows to have an encryption of pairs of characters, either 5 or 13 pairs. If you have the 13 pairs (128 bit), it's a higher security setting, since there are more permutations of possible key codes.
