Wmp vs itunes.

So I want to know your reason what is the best, you must use actual facts. I am going to say WMP. I have used itunes a few times, and it doesn't seem to work that great on windows OS (seems to work nice on a Mac) and my biggest complaint is how I keep a good portion of my music on my external HDD and when I would transfer the music on there it would not always be able to find ablum info/album art. This drives me nuts plus it has mixed/combined album's before. With WMP it is much easier to find album art/album info and is much faster then itunes on a windows based machine. As far as the whole mp3 player thing is concerned I have a HTC HD2 so I use wmp to sync to wmp on my phone so for me it is great for managing the mp3 player.

I prefer iTunes.

Is much easier to navigate around and looks much cleaner and simpler than WMP. I find it easier to use to sync devices and burn discs and also find it alot easier to update the information.

However, if on shuffle it takes a few seconds to play a track, but that is nitpicking, waiting 3 or 4 seconds really isn't a huge complaint

iTunes all the way. I like it because:

1. Genius- Tells you songs similar to the one you are playing, useful when you like a song and want to hear more like it.
2. Remote- On my iPt, there is a remote app, so I can control iTunes from anywhere in my house.
3. Front Row- It is a program for Macs. It allows you to play your iTunes library through the TV.
4. Shuffle- Works well
5. Syncing- I always struggled with syncing my MP3 player with WMP. My iPod and iTunes get along perfectly.

If we're just talking about playing media, VLC player wins every time. Outside of that, I barely use WMP, and when I use iTunes it's only when dealing with iPods or listening to podcasts. Both programs are bulky and inefficient, iTunes definitely being the most so.

I found that with Windows, iTunes was slow. But, with it on my mac, it is pretty quick.

Well WMP on my laptop opens up pretty quick. I remember itunes being pretty good but since Apple started to sell computers it has seem that they dont run as well on windows Vista or even 7.

i prefer zune to both of those (software wise). i tried using itunes and disliked it after a couple of minutes. i find zune to be aesthetically pleasing. during inactive periods it will display images of the artist and show facts like how many plays the song has had. i find it very easy to navigate through. organizing is very easy as well. i never have any problems finding album info and on the rare occasion i can't, i can easily add my own art and full info. of course if we had been talking about the players themselves i probably would've gone with ipods. i haven't tried the newest zunes really but i am sure i would still go with the ipod (or iphone).
