Wiring is SUCH a Pain!

Hey guys, setting up wire ports in my desk in anticipation for my final part to arrive to start my build. I knew it would be a pain in Ol' Yonder to get this stuff done, but putting wires through is a thousand times harder than one would ever think, hahaha.

How hard was your wire set up? Post pictures and share tips with other members of the forum! I'll be looking forward to seeing them as well.

Cheers :cool::good:

I just have a few wires.. Two for power (monitor included), one for ethernet and an HDMI cable. Luckily my rig sits on top of my desk so it doesn't require any special wire feeding..

Edit: that's a lie. Forgot about my turtlebeach headset and xbox controller. They are wired behind and under the desk to come out by my feet.

Eh, it's usually not too bad. Here's one of the network racks at the old AMC Theatres HQ that I contracted at before they moved buildings if it makes you feel any better ;)

worked on many plc's at work with wiring like that. its about the adventure and tracing them out for identification. like when ya upgrade. seen computer wiring that looked like that too.

I'd go crazy looking at that... Usually a wiring mess doesn't bother me in the short term..

Well at my desk (which is underneath my lofted bed) I have a giant desktop, 2 decent sized monitors, a 2.1 speaker system, a printer, headphones, an Xbox 360, a string of christmas lights, two fans plugged in, a lamp, a coffee maker, 2 power strips (both full), 2 extension cords, and a crap ton of tangles.

I need to tidy up my room. It's a mess.

I think my roommate and I consume more electricity than any one other room in the entire building. His set up is very similar to mine. He's a Computer Science major and I'm a Computer Engineering major in a building full of art students.
