Hi , does ne1 kno if it is possible to evenly split a internet connection . I got a 4mb internet connection and i want to give all 4 of me computers 1mb each . I also need the network to be wireless. Do you know of any router out there that has the facility to evenly distribute bandwidth to each port .... ?

You have the burst speed of 4 mb. You will never have exactly or even a steady rate of up to 4mb. The connection cannot be split in 4 even parts.

how about if i just allocated each PC with a bandwith restriction of 1mb would that work?

is there not any other way of say getting the ADSL connections and putting them into some sort of gateway that puts all the connections down into one. And then i can manage that one connection ?

Well i need to buy a new router anyway and im willing to buy whatever hardware it is i need. So do you know what routers would be ok ? Is it just a suitable router that i need :S ?
