Wireless with dial up

im not 100%, but i dont think you can get wireless with dial up. there may be some kind of dial up router, but i have never seen one. even if you could, the speed would be horrible, considering that you lose some speed with wireless.

I'm sure it's possible, but the only way I know of right off is to have a host computer(also with wireless) and have it sharing the internet.

I have acctually thought about the same thing since Im still on dial up here (cable doesnt run out this far only 6 miles from the closest connection). I did tons of google searches and got nothing then I asked some of my teachers at school and they said they've never heard of it either. And plus like stated above with wireless you would have half the throughput right off the bat.

What? Wireless isn't that slow? The speed would be find, only capped by the dialup speed. And it's totally possible to do this. I had a computer setup a while back using a proxy server. We just had dialup at the time, but I had 5 computers running off the connection(just to learn networking) Wireless is simply an extention of a standard wired network. Now, I know there are better ways than proxy servers to make a shared internet connection, but that's my prefered method as I find it quite simple...
