I just got an Speedtouch Wireless DSL router of my friend and i have AOL broadband, i've connnected the Ethernet Cable and the DSL cable heres what the lights are showing

Power: Green

Ethernet: Green

WLAN: Red

DSL: Green

Internet: Nothing

and through the AOL Cd to set it up it says it cannot be detected, my Ethernet is Onboards, can anyone please help?

p.s my PSP can pickup the wireless router, buts obvs no internet connection..

Try doing a hard reset on the router; there should be a button you push in on the back of the router that will reset to factory defaults. Your friend could have had some previous settings that are misconfigured for your ISP.

If you have a DSL modem and you're getting a red light on WAN, I assume you aren't getting connected. Perhaps the username, password, phone number, or something like that isn't entered correctly...?

^^ I dont think ive to enter anythin like that, its like through the AOL CD it trys to find the router but it doesnt, the Ethernet and the WLAN both flashes at the same time sometimes.

The point of routers is to connect for you, so unless you have a plain modem, I suspect you will have to log in though the router some how...

it could also be that you have a conflict somwhere. you may find that the problem is coming from the wireless router, not your broadband connection. make sure that the wireless router is set to be routed to the modem.

you probably already know this but never the less make sure.
