Wireless router advice please.

I have ordered cable broadband and my only option is to connect it wirelessly.I have been told that I have to buy a wireless router by my ISP.

Do I also have to buy a card for my Pc though, or will my motherboard support this without any expansion. I have a MSI K8N NEO4f motherboard. I am considering a 108 router because I will be transferring large files.

Also If I have a good router, what kind of speed reduction should I expect when comparing my connection to a wired one. There will only be about a distance of about 20 feet and a quite thin ceiling between the router and my pc. (just curious)

Cheers!

First answer: Dont buy it from them its gonna cost a heck of a lot more. Go to your local computer store and buy either a netgear, or linksys router.

Second answer: Yes you need to buy a card for your computer. Get a pci card when you get the router and get the same brand.

Third Answer: speed will be slower right now most wired lines are 100 while wireless is 52 i wanna say so its slower but i have broad band and its not to big of a noticable difference to me.
