Hi,

I have a wireless internet connection(D-Link router, DWL900 airplus wireless) I have two computers connected to this wireless network, one is IP 192.168.1.2 (a PC) and the other 192.168.1.3 (a laptop)
The problem is Im trying to share the printer on PC to print from Laptop.

I can connect to the Laptop from the PC but not vice versa!

I know it has something to do with the firewall or norton on the PC but I cant figure out whats the problem, any help is apprecited.

Windows Firewall?
BlackIce?
Any others?

Disable all, then turn each one on and determine which one is interrupting the connection.

Leave it off.

You moght just have too many firewalls on your PC.

I disabled all firewalls , windows, norton,
and yes both computers can access internet wirelessly.
is there any progam that might help me disover which program is blocking the connection?

how are you trying to connect? through network places? Have you tried the manual way? in ie bar type //computer name or //localip

anything?

Yes, I have tried thru the //192.168.1.2 thing but it just comes back after 10 min saying that it can not find the network is not connected.

I created a home network with the wizard and placed everybody on workgroup MSHOME, I can see the PC in the map network drive but whenever I try to access it, it just says unaccessable

Finally figured it out and its amazing !

Even if you disable the norton , the worm protection (reason of problem) is still activated !!! so you have to manually disable the worm protection and now it works fine.

Usually the worm protection would make exclusions however it seems my installtion of norton was flawed and it would report an application error everytime I try to add exeptions.
