Ok here's my setup...have two laptops and one desktop...all have wireless connections to my Netgear Wireless Router in my living room. I am looking to get an All In One printer and I found one that is both usb and ethernet ready. My question is, how would I connect this printer to the computers in my wireless network, would like to keep the printer in my room. Would I get a print server and somehow that would connect through my router which in turn connects to the computers or how would that work? One laptop is running Jaguar OS (apple) and the other two are running Windows XP. Thanks. I think my router is the MR314.

I dont really know because i never done this before but I think you can either buy a wireless print server that the usb plugs into or they could be an adapter that you can buy that plugs into the ethernet on the printer making it wireless. Another ways is to connect the printer to the router with a cable, but if you want the printer in your room and the router is in your living room then that isn't an option

Hope this is of help:)

What you do is one of two things: first, with the ethernet adapter that the printer has, connect that with a Cat5 to the router. If you wish to make it a wireless printer on the network, the you need to buy a wireless print server and connect it to either the ethernet/usb connection (depending on what the wireless adapter is made for).
