Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to wireless network two desktops instead of drilling holes threw my house.

First of can you do it?

and second we have a wireless connection between my moms laptop and our home computer, What can i buy so that my computer can get into the network.

Yes you can network two computers via wireless, it's called creating an ad-hoc network. Heres how:

To create a new ad hoc network open Control Panel then Network Connections, or double click on the wireless icon in the system tray (by the clock).

Click on the Wireless Network tab then the add button.

A new window will appear. Give your network a name, and check the two boxes near the bottom.

Click OK to close that window and OK again. If you try to View Wireless Networks, your changes may not be saved, so make sure to click OK first.

You need to do that on one of the wireless computers, than on the other one search for available wireless networks and that one should come up and appear as an "ad-hoc" network.
Hope that helped. :)

No you dont need a router, all you need is two computers with a wireless card. You set up one of the computers the way i showed you above, then on the other computer you search for the wireless ad-hoc connection, and connect to it.
