Hi!

I dont know much about networking so I need some help.

I have two computers running windows xp, both have 802.11g wireless networking cards.

Basically I want to have a wireless connection between these two computers so I can transfer files wirelessly to each other and vice verse.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Regards, Jay

I believe he says that he does have the 802.11G wireless card on both computers, so he does not need an access point.
So Jay246, all you need is the Wireless router. They can range from anywhere between $40 to $200. I have Linksys Wireless G with speedbooster, paid about $80.00, and it works pretty good.
Once you install the router and get the internet on both computers through the router,
then you can setup your computer as a Home Network and share files, printer...etc by going to control panel and click on "Setup Home Network" Icon.

Right, Got myself a Belkin wireless router. I have got it so that I can share internet between 3 pcs. How do i share files between them now?

Regards, Jay

isnt there an integrated file sharing on the windows network setup wizard??? Like theres a "virtual" folder between all of the computers and whenever you put something in there and go on another computer connected to that computer u can just go to that same folder, click the file that u placed in there from the last computer, and it will transfer it? (lol very long question but i remeber doing something liek this 3-4 years ago)
