I have a desktop and a laptop I can get a wireless network but how can I get the Internet to work on the laptop.
 
Is it your internet connection? Does your wirless computer have a wireless card? If so it should detect the wireless signals in the area... Just select your and put in the wep key/pw..

When you see the available connection and click on your it might (should if you set it up) ask for a wep key or password. Only you should know this, and will keep un invited guests off your internet connection. This will be set up/enabled in the router..

Have you setup the router yet?
 
Ok i need to know how you get internet to your PC.. You have a phone cord from the wall... to your modem.. Then where does the modem plug into? Your pc? Or does it plug into another device? If it does plug into another device, does that have a antenna? That other device does it have a manufacturer and model number?
 
I have a cable modern thats how Im connected to tne internet. The modren is connected directly to the PC and the cable is connected to the wall. And I have a wireless network card with a antenna in this PC.

Ok you will need to get a wireless router. You will need to get on which accepts both cable and wireless so you dont need to buy a wireless card for your pc. Hook the modem to your NEW router, hook your pc ethernet cord to your NEW rotuer, and the laptop will see the NEW routers signal.
