Wireless network, How to change from closed to open?

Alright, I am missing something really easy, but still, I can't figure out what the heck to do...

When I first got my wireless router, I set it up with a password on the network, so that my neighbors couldn't rape my internet. Now, I want to go online with my PSP, and I don't know how to make my wireless network be open....

So yeah, Anyone have any ideas of what I should do? Thanks ~Steve

You should be able to go into your router's configuration and disable the password prompt. if that doesnt work, you can do a "hard" reset of the router by holding down the button on the back for 10-12 seconds. That will revert the router's settings back to factory default.

I dont think he wants to get rid of the password, because he says that his neighbors would steal his internet. I dont have a PSP so i dont know how its suppose to connect to the wireless network, but check and see if Broadcast SSID is enabled, if its not, try enabling it.

As far as i have read, you have to make your wireless network completely open in order to use the PSP on it. This is, of course, not a good thing :/

Awesome, Thanks for all the help guys. I just did hard reset on it, I am moving out at the end of this month, so I just said F-it, hahaha, Thanks again

Well there is actually a way to limit your neighbors from stealing all your bandwidth. I ran across this idea when my dhcp was not assigning porperly when trying to us winxp remote access. Anyway, all i did was looked at how many computers i had on my network (4) and limited the number of ip addresses which the router would assign (4). If you want to use your psp and you have 3 computers on your network, tell it to only assign 4 addresses. This will only leave one slot open, and that should not be too muc drain on the speed. Or you could limit to only 4 when you want to connect with your psp. Hope this is understood.
