I am trying to connect to a wireless network in my house using a laptop, every other laptop works fine

When I try to connect (windows is showing a full signal as router is in same room)

It pop up when I press connect “windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range please refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again.

I have no firewall on, apart for the windows one.

Any ideas

Hi

one thing to try which may solve it is to turn off windows firewall and look for a different one.

Windows firewall can do strange things, so i find the best thing to do is turn it off.

As a recommendation i suggest AVG, i use the AVG antivirus, with combined firewall and it is great

Hope this helps
