Hi, I am new on the forum and hoped u lot could help me. I have just bought a Buffalo Wireless Cable/DSL router (WYR-G54) and a Buffalo Wireless Cardbus Notebook Adapter (WLI-CB-G54L). I followed the instructions until I got to part when you configure the adaptor with your Internet connection. I couldn’t do this, so I checked all the cableing. I had plugged the cable from my computer to the router in LAN 1 rather than WAN. I changed it over and now I cannot access the Internet configuration site. I have tried disarming my firewall and it still didn’t work. Then I found out that there was a CD in the router Box that I have just tried to install and that says that it cannot finder the router on my computer. I have also installed the Laptop Network card and it can find the wireless network. I just cannot seam to be able to access any files or folders on my other computer and the Internet. I know I should have taken my time in setting up the network but I was in a rush. Any help will be great I just want to access the Internet and my other computer from my Laptop.

Maybe you should start over, do the router first as per it's instructions, connect the wires and instert the cd, you will need info from your ISP. Then after that install the card and you should be able to make the connection.

I agree, start over and follow it exactly. Try to make sure at eery step things are working so you catch a problem right away instead of wondering what went wrong.
