Wireless network Help Needed.

I am going to purchase a home wireless network and the location of computers will be pretty close like next room and right upstairs so distance wont be a factor. I will be adding a Satalite High speed internet system later next month so want it to be compatable to that. (Rural Pa so its satalite or dial up) I see alot of equipmant showing 54 Mbps, is this the standard, I am really new to this can someone help me out.

I am thinking about this one (Linksys® Wireless-G SpeedBooster Router) is this a good choice, is the Speed Booster worth the extra $10.00?

Any help or sugestions would be appreciated
 
Right now, 54mbps is the fastest a wireless network will go. You can wait for wireless N though. I would say that Linksys is a good choice.
