ok so wireless n is finally arriving. should i buy it or should i wait a few weeks? there are 4 to choose from. netgear linksys buffalo and belkin. 3 of them are priced at ~130-150. the netgear, is 220. why is that? it is called the gigabit edition. is that because it can move wired net at 1 gigabit? i am looking to purchase it because i got caught up in the belkin pre n scam which is just b and g combined. thanks in advance for any info

Yes, its probably called that because of the wired speed, note thought that your mobo or ethernet card has to support this too.

I don't think you can go wrong with either Netgear, Linksys or Buffalo.

In my opinion that would be a substantial amount of money.. Just to increase transfer rates on tha LAN side... (which is between wireless computers, which are shared).

Would you really use it?

oh yes of course. i have two laptops that right now cant go without 50 ft of the router. i want to be able to be wireless around my whole house and outside. 150 really isnt that much for me but i think 100 for each card is insane

I havent looked at the specs yet.. Does it guarantee that? I would assume not. Dont be dissapointed if it dont work as you hope it should.
