I have a 2 wire modem, that works as a wireless router. I can't seem to find the wireless key for the modem. I am just wondering if there is a way to recover the wireless key without reseting the router.

Yes, go into the router setup (opening you web browser, type in 192.168.1.1 ....depending on the manufacturer, it could be different), then you can go into the setup and change/get the password.

that will only work if you know the pass phrase to generate the wep key
if your wireless devices have WPA , this might be a good time to switch
wpa is more secure then wep.

yeah, i would just go ahead and change it, plug a computer right into the router and login to it.
