Wireless Internet

I want to make my laptop wireless and i've just ordered BT Broadband which is coming with a free router. The only thing is i'm not sure how you go about having a router and a wireless laptop when the laptop is the only computer in the house. I wont have a desktop to plug all the necessary router wires into.

Could someone please clarify this? Cheers.

hi, you don't have to have a computer plugged into the router at all, the router bt will give you will be self containing, if you get what i mean, you will plug your telephone cable and power into the back, and that will be that. ther will be no need to plug any other cables into the back, as you have wireless

Only if it's self contained. Otherwise, the modem will connect to the WAN port. But as stated, you don't need any computers connected to the router.
