recently changed service providers to eclipse internet. The change migration was fun and games but all seems to be settled now. However noticed something that seems a bit odd.

Iff i check the wireless connection by clicking on the connection in the systray I get the following

surely all those errors under sent and received cant be right.

Im using a netgear router and netgear internal pci wireless card.

Any ideas what thats all about?

Is the signal strength altering alot from bad to good? As if so could be the fact its loosing alot of data packets due to the signal.

when the migration first occured i was getting some low signal strength. Not any more though its generally very good sometimes dipping to good

ok i've now changed the channel for the wireless as i was picking up someone elses in the vicinity, they were on channel 11 and i was on 12.

Having been through all the channels i have stopped at 7 which seems to be the best. Also changed the SSID of the box too

Its reduced the rate of said errors but its still happening, getting about 3-400 a second now as opposed to the 10,000 odd i was having
