Wireless Connection

Okay, I just got a new computer and need to somehow get an internet connection on it.

The new computer is going into my room, but the only place in the house where there is a cable line for the internet in in my Den Room. What would I need to do in order to get a connection into my room? Would i need a wireless router that'll give me a signal into my room?

The wireless connection depends entirely on the location/distance to your rrom, and the makeup of your houses walls. You can either run a ethernet cord, or try the wireless. I would go with the ethernet cord do you dont get dropped signals.

If you can try to run an ethernet card from your modem to your secondary computer. Also make sure your computer has an ethernet card.

I would go the ethernet car. Most routers will only work over a distance of 10m's when going through walls

if your gonna be using your computer for online gaming, i would sugest against a wireless connection. it drops out way to often which isn't good for online games. i'd sugest just a cable connection. if your worried about cords try getting it through the ducts and cold air return ducts of your house. if your going for wireless anyways, linksys' makes a good wireless router
